Today Levi is 21 months old. Where has the time gone? I dressed him in jeans and his Mr. Happy t-shirt that we found at Target while grandma Susan and g-grandma Lille were visiting us over Easter weekend. I thought the t-shirt was just so fitting for his personality. I also loved those books as a child.
These past couple days Levi has not been 100%, with a cough and runny nose again. Gotta love those spring-time germs. :-P Grandma Karen was in town so we forego church and went to the park instead. Levi had a blast on all those toys. This particular playground is used primarily by a day-care so the toys are built more for younger kids than most playgrounds. Levi went from toy to toy and back again to some of his favorites (4x4 truck, tri-go-round and the slide).
For lunch we had chili mac and Levi liked it. Last night I made a new recipe for vegetable jambalaya and Levi didn't much care for that, so it is good to see him scarfing down my food again :)

Of cans and songs
Tonight we did our grocery shopping and Levi helped Matt put away all the canned goods this time. Awesome! He also has taken up singing on occasion, which is very precious.

Waiting Games
This evening we went to the Tri-Cities to get some old motorcycle parts for Matt's latest project. On the way we stopped at Wal-Mart for some tie-downs and Levi and I waited in the car while Matt ran in to get something in the store. We sat there and I asked Levi all kinds of things. Like sounds, he could tell me chicken (goo-gaw), sheep (maaaa), dog (he pants and then says woof), cat (almost can meow), owl (whooooo), car (vrooooom), horse (clip clop with his tounge), cow (moooo) and when we ran out of sounds I got him to give me a kiss, and then I asked him where his nose, mouth, ear, hair, head, feet were. Then he got tired of that game but he was doing really well!

Artichokes
Tonight we made artichokes for dinner, boiled and dipped in Ranch dressing. Levi caught on right away and would clamp down on a leaf while I pulled on it so he could pull off the good parts. Soon he was doing it all by himself. Mmm Mmm good!

Kiss!
Levi has learned to give us a kiss now on the cheek. It is darling. He puckers up and touches our cheek with his lips and and then makes the smacking sound as an afterthought.
He was a real trooper this past weekend, we attended our first endurance ride of the year. It was cold, probably down to the 20s at night, and he slept with us on our chest(s) and kept warm. Unfortunately we forgot his shoes, so he was restricted to the camper all weekend, unless carried. I did take him out numerous times either in my arms on in the backack and he enjoyed that. He also showed off his new table dancing moves for us at dinner. Always such a great disposition!
