Levi reaches out and touches Matt's face while on the changing table today. He feels it long enough for me to get some on video. He is also continuing to do a lot of weight bearing on his legs, even bouncing a little while held on a lap or in the Sungli pack. He is starting to outgrow a few clothes (length-wise) and moving into a few 3 months outfits for winter.

Today I left work 30 minutes early with the intention of getting in a good ride on Dee. Well the minute I stepped out the door I felt a raindrop and by the time I got home it was really coming down. Levi was awake and in very good sorts so I spent some quality time playing with him and we had quite the fun little conversation. I was itching to get some exercise so we bundled him up and got some umbrellas and took a walk in the rain. When Levi first heard the raindrops on the umbrella he looked up and stared, trying to find the source of that odd sound. What a bright baby! :) He enjoyed his walk and I was glad to use this hat for the first time. Heather from work made it just for him. It is a perfect fit!

Today we went to a reunion of our Birthing Class parents in the park. It was about 2 hours and really quite fun. There were seven babies there total. We got a photo with five of them and their moms at the end. Levi was the youngest and four of the other babies could sit up already. We decided we would have to get together again sometime when they are all a little older

This evening I took Levi to the Eddie MacMurdo horse show. We walked the barns and again he was very enthralled by the horses and stared at them. Hopefully we got some cute photos. We went for the Arabian costume class and the dog races at the end were really fun. He was awake most of the day and then later slept from 11 pm to 5 am which was really nice for me!

Levi had his 2 month Doctor's appointment today. While we were in the waiting room another couple from our birthing class came in with their adorable girl, who must have been about 4 months. It was nice to see them again.
We filled out a form that asks about development, you circle yes or no until you have circled 3 no's and then you have to stop. The Doctor said he is doing some things already that are in the 3 month range. I don't know what specifically though. :-P
Levi was undressed and weighed and measured first, he weighed in at 11 lbs 1 oz, and 22 1/2 inches long with a head circumference of 15 1/4" The doctor said his growth is beautiful and perfect and he is right where he should be on the charts. Levi was in a very good mood while the Doctor was going over him checking everything out and even gave Doc some big smiles. It was so cute. I had planned to take my camera this time but I forgot it! :(
Well the poor little guy, then it was time for the nurse to come back in and give him his shots. He got 4 - two in each thigh. He didn't like that at all. We had been advised on our last visit to give him a little infant Tylenol before the exam to take the edge off so we had done that but he still cried pretty hard and thought it was a pretty dirty trick of us to put him through that. He quieted down on the way out and now our next appointment is set for his 4th month - November 14 I believe is the date they gave me at 9 am.

Today is a holiday and that means no work! I went out this morning and saddled up and rode Dee again, this time down the road a little ways. She did great and we even went past a guy welding in his driveway with a large loud generator. I can't wait to get back out on the trails and condition her for some limited distance endurance!

Levi is really getting talkative in the mornings, he will coo and gurgle and smile at me to my delight. He is also getting much more active while nursing, twirling his feet and moving his hands all about. He is growing for sure!

I go for another ride on Dee. I am finally not sore from the last ride. LOL
