Family photo for the church directory with Olan Mills. The photos of Levi weren't great, but it is all we will have of him at "six months" so we bought one for his album. The photo of us as a family was great of Matt and I, Levi had more of a "deer in the headlights" look on his face. Oh well.

January 16 2007

Levi had his six month check-up today with Dr Thomas Bolduc, his usual pediatrician. Weight: 18 lbs 2 oz (a 4 oz gain since last Monday) Length: 26" inches. Head circumference: 17 1/2" Dr Tom said his weight and height is great, he is in the middle of the growth charts. His head is a little bigger than average. He thought he looked beautiful and was developing really well. Levi had four shots in his fat little thighs. He did not like that one bit. Matt reports that Levi sat up on his own today also. He was laying in bed and rolled over and sat right up.


Since Levi has not been a big fan of rice cereal, I got him some baby oatmeal yesterday. I mixed up a little of that with water last night and he ate it without much fuss. I also gave him a little baby green beans and he gobbled those right down.


He isn't really crawling yet however he can get up on all fours and rock forward and backwards. He also scoots around in circles and backwards but not forwards yet. He is getting close.

We bundle Levi up and take him to Cradle Roll and g-ma Karen joins us today. It is fun, as always, with Levi trying to sample everything in his basket. After church we went to g-ma Karen's for lunch and Levi tried some peach Martinelli's and loved it. In the evening it started snowing, with temps in the teens. BRR! It also started snowing.





We later went to JD's birthday party, "Thunder Bowl" from 10 pm to midnight at the bowling alley. There was a disco ball, strobe lights, loud music, black lights, and some fog from time to time. It was crazy. Levi was in awe from the minute we walked in. He seemed to really have a good time, dancing in my lap (bouncing around) until he finally fell asleep (I don't know how) for about an hour.

Levi has decided his rice cereal is no good. He has started grabbing for our cups and tried drinking (water) from them. He mimiced Matt this morning, saying ba-ba-ba-ba and ma-ma-ma-ma. It is so sweet. I love to hear him babble.

Now that Levi has figured out how to go forwards in his walker he is unstopable! He likes to cruise around following the dogs and a few times has wheeled up and sat at the edge of the sofa, laughing hysterically at their wrestling moves. He has had rice cereal about every-other day and seems to be handling it well.

Happy New Year! Matt dressed Levi today in a black turtleneck onesie and rust cords. He looked a little like Steve McQueen. His favorite toy right now is his Little Einstein Puppy from Adam. He also really likes banging away on the computer keyboard and sending e-mails.
