Levi celebrates the New Year with us, Grandma Susan and the Clifton family. He knawed on his noisemaker and smiled at our antics.

December 25 2006

Merry Christmas! Levi has had a wonderful holiday season thus far with many "firsts." He scooted backwards on the floor. He has figured out how to move forward a few steps in his walker (until now he just went backwards) AND he had his first helping of rice cereal today. It went off really well, he seemed to really know what it was all about and even grabbed for the spoon to help himself. A HUGE THANK YOU to everyone who has given gifts, we got so many wonderful things for him.

My dad Jeff and wife Genia were up for the holiday from Maryland, and somehow made it through Denver during the bad storm. We had a lot of fun entertaining, throwing our first "Hootenanny" on Christmas eve. Dad got Levi a high chair which we will be sure to use while he is still in town.

December 10 2006

Levi is now putting his foot in his mouth. He will reach for anything and try to eat it so we are more dilligent about watching what he is doing. He loves to be sung to and sometimes will try to sing along. He still really loves bath time.

Our second birthing class reunion and my how the kids have grown! Brianna was kind enough to invite everyone over to her house and we hung out in the playroom. She also set up her faux studio and took some pics of the kids in her sleigh with lights and fake snow, so cute!

Levi has grown! He can reach the floor now in his walker and took a few steps forward today in addition to his many steps backwards. :) I am really enjoying this age. Less spit up and more laughter, such a joy of a child!

December 6 2006

Today Matt teaches Levi how to say "mama" so I hear "mamamamamamamama mama mamama mamama" all during lunch and most of the evening. It was precious. He almost has it.

December 2 2006

Tonight I participated in the annual Macy's Parade of Lights for downtown Walla Walla. I rode Ma's horse Justice. We had to be ready to ride by 4:30 pm and then we rode over to our place in line and waited there until 6 pm when the parade started. It was only 25 degrees. Justice was very well behaved, like he had done a parade before. Lara's horse got nervous next to the firetruck and tripped over the curb and landed on her leg, fracturing her foot in three places. She still did the parade, walking half the way. Levi did not attend, Matt felt it was too cold and I am glad he stayed in.
