November 25 2006

This photo was taken in Idaho, coming home from Montana. Today Levi grabs onto his toes for the first time that I've noticed.

November 23 3006

The family makes a trip into Montana for the Thanksgiving Holiday. Levi was a pretty good little passenger, although did not sleep as much as I expected (or hoped). He was easily entertained for the most part, however.

Another good night with Levi in his crib. His cardiologist appointment is now set for Dec. 15th. He has a new "toy" - a walker that was given to us. He loves it. He can inch his way backwards if he uses his tippy toes. On the move already!

November 15 2006

Levi spends his first night in his crib in his own room. It goes off without a hitch. He had almost outgrown the bassinet that we had been using in our bedroom. He slept until 7:15 AM.

November 14 2006

Levi has his 4 month appointment with the Dr today. He weighed in at 15 lbs 7 oz (2 lb gain from last month) and measured 25 1/2" long. His head is now 16 11/16" in circumference. The doctor listened to his chest for what seemed to be a longer period than usual, so when he said his heartbeat was a little irregular I kind of saw it coming. He recommended we have Levi checked out by a cardiologist who comes to town once a month. So we are going to call and make an appointment for that ASAP. Then it was time for the nurse to give him his four shots. He was so brave. He did not cry with the first shot. The second shot he only cried briefly and then went right back to blowing bubbles. The third and fourth shots, however, he was not nearly as compliant. But it was over quickly and he stopped crying once we picked him back up. The nurse commented she was glad, it makes her feel bad when babies wail and wail and don't stop while they are in the office. So he was a very good boy. He also rated very well on the form they have parents fill out to mark off development. He is doing everything he should be at his age, and then some (a lot of 5 month things and some 6 month things).

November 12 2006

Levi is 4 months old today! We took him out to try and get a photo with the snowy mountains in the background. It was kind of a gray day and the wind was kicking up but we got a few shots. Levi is pretty close to rolling over now.

November 11 2006

New things the baby is up to; he has found his thumb and sucks it occasionally. Last weekend at ma's he was standing (with assistance), saw his toy on the ground, bent and reached for it, and put it in his mouth. Most things are finding their way to his mouth these days! He loves bath time and kicks and splashes with glee. He will be four months old tomorrow so we are hoping to get some good photos.

Levi has been pulling himself forward when held in our laps (think stomach crunches) and always wants to be standing (with assistance)
